Brad Beavers leaving Ralph II

Brad BeaversBrad Beavers has announced his departure from Ralph Stanley II & the Clinch Mountain Boys, for whom he has been playing bass since earlier this year.

He says that his doctor has recommended that he come off the road, and that’s advice that you’re wise to heed.

In a message yesterday on his Facebook page, Beavers wanted to assure everyone that his leaving should not reflect negatively on the band. He made the move strictly for his health.

“I want to thank everyone who came out and supported the shows, I’m glad that I’ve made several new friends along the way, and last but certainly not least, thanks to Ralph II for giving me the opportunity to be a Clinch Mountain Boy. I hope to get back on the road playing music in the near future as soon as everything I’ve got going on gets resolved. I wish nothing but continued success for Ralph II and the rest of the band, and I hope the new CD coming out soon that they’ve mentioned on stage does real well for them. Thanks for everything, and I hope to see everyone again soon!”

Brad is currently a student in the Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music Studies program at ETSU.
