Blue Highway at The Ark (August 2012) - photo by Bill WarrenBlue Highway graced the stage of the Ark in Ann Arbor, Michigan Sunday evening for the first time in the band’s 18 year history. They were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The band played two sets of mostly original Blue Highway music that delighted the audience.

Rob Ickes has played Scheerhorn resophonic guitars for the past 22 years. Rob is the 13 time and reigning IBMA Dobro Player of the Year. Rob did his own breath-taking rendition of The Old Rugged Cross.

Jason Burleson and Shawn Lane showed the crowd their multi-instrumental skills. Jason played banjo, guitar, and mandolin. Shawn played mandolin, guitar, and fiddle.

Wayne Taylor brings the writing skills of all of the band members to life with his vocal skills.

Tim Stafford, in addition to his great song writing and singing brought his “Dr. Ralph” to life to the great delight of the audience.

The crowd kept the band busy autographing merchandise during the set break.

Blue Highway has become one of the “must see” bands for all fans of bluegrass music!
