Darrell Webb has announced that Noah Brown has come aboard to play bass with the Darrell Webb Band. Barely out of his teens, Noah has already worked with Ralph Stanley II and Junior Sisk. He’ll start working with Webb right away in Gatlinburg, TN and on the road.
Noah also comes from a bluegrass family. Both his father, Tony, and his uncle, Jeff, have are grassers from way back. Tony was recently recognized by the Tazewell County, VA Fiddlers Convention with a Lifetime Achievement Award for service to the music, and Jeff fronts his own band, Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome, and manages an annual festival in Bristol, VA.
For the younger Brown, the move to Tennessee to work full-time in bluegrass looks like a good move.
“I’m super excited to be joining this phenomenal group! I’ve known Darrell since before I can remember and grew up playing music with him. It’s an honor to be among such talented musicians and I look forward to being part of the Darrell Webb Band.”
Webb, who should also be announcing a new banjo picker later this week, is glad to have him.
“I’m stoked about having Noah as a part of the DWB. I’ve known him ever since he was just a little boy and watched him grow up to be a great musician.
He’s a rock solid bass player, a great harmony singer, and plays with the same excitement and fire as the rest of the guys in the band. Noah is a real pro.”
