Southern Raised has released a new DVD with an interesting take on the concert video. It finds the four Reith siblings from southern Missouri recreating the 11 songs from their current Make A Difference CD in music video form.
These are some mighty talented young musicians. Ranging in age from 28 to 16, the Reiths have mastered bluegrass music, following on their earlier studies in classical technique. Eldest daughter Lindsay plays bass with her sisters Sarah on banjo/reso, and Emily on fiddle/mandolin, and little brother Matthew on guitar. All are strong singers as well, and skillful arrangers and songwriters.
The new DVD is entitled Intimate Concert at The Mansion at Fontanel. In addition to the 11 tracks from the new CD shot on stage, it contains a pair of music videos the band had released previously. One is a concept video for their song Grandpa’s Fiddle, and the other a performance video of their brilliant arrangement of the 3rd movement of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Summer.
