Morgan Monroe has two new budget-minded mandolin models which should be available from their many dealers by October 2013. Both are solid wood spruce and maple instruments, with a walnut sunburst finish.
The MFM-750 has an F-style body made with a solid spruce top and maple back and sides. The maple neck is fastened with a traditional dovetail joint, and has a scroll top headstock with open geared tuning machines. Both the fingerboard and bridge are rosewood. The walnut sunburst is finished with a high gloss.
It will carry a list price of $1199.95 and is expected to sell at a street price of $599.95.
Their other new mandolin, the MAM-750, has an A-style body and headstock, but otherwise is identical to the F model in materials, components and finish. This one lists for $899.95 and will sell at a street price of $449.95.
Both will be offered with a hard shell case and a lifetime warranty.
You can use the dealer locator on the Morgan Monroe web site to find a shop near you that will be stocking these new mandolin models.
