The Blue Ridge Music Center presents Amanda Cook Band live in concert at its outdoor amphitheater on the Blue Ridge Parkway (Milepost 213) just south of Galax, Va., just north of Mount Airy, N.C. and just east of Sparta, N.C.
Amanda Cook has left an indelible mark on the bluegrass scene. With her down-to-earth style, profound connection with her audience, and distinctive vocal range, she quickly achieved popularity.
Fueling a fire to record and tour professionally, Cook made the move from Jay, Florida to the Mountains of Virginia, to record Mountain Fever Records, and also to work there as an engineer. She currently serves as Chief Operation Officer of Mountain Fever Records.
The band’s fourth studio album, “Changes,” debuted at the number one spot of the Billboard Bluegrass Album chart in October 2022, coinciding with the band’s continued presence at festivals and top venues nationwide.
Band members include Carolyne Van Lierop on banjo and harmony vocals, Josh Faul on upright bass and harmony vocals, Troy Boone on Mandolin and harmony vocals, George Mason on fiddle, and Justin Alexander on lead guitar.
