Audie Blaylock and Mr. Bill

Event Details

Next Tuesday (May 31) is the official release date for Audie Blaylock & Redline’s terrific Bill Monroe tribute album, I’m Going Back To Old Kentucky. It’s actually available now as a digital download online with CDs shipping next week.

The record finds Audie and his fine band meeting up in the studio with Del and Ronnie McCoury, Bobby Osborne, and both Glen Duncan and Jason Carter on fiddle.

We’ll have more to say about this fabulous project next week, but wanted to pass along this clever video released by Rural Rhythm. It shows Patrick McAvinue, Redline’s talented young fiddler, taking a roller coaster ride at Silver Dollar City with the album’s final track playing in the background. The tune is Monroe’s Tall Timber, with triple fiddles from Patrick, Glen and Jason, played at a tempo approaching ludicrous speed.
