Josh Greene to Fret High

Event Details

Josh GreeneCharlotte, NC’s Fret High has announced the addition of fiddler Josh Greene to the band. He lives in nearby Monroe, where he teaches private lessons in fiddle, mandolin, guitar and bass. Bluegrass fans may recognize Josh from previous stints with James King, Larry Stephenson, and Darin & Brooke Aldridge.

The band is putting the finishing touches on their first album, consisting primarily of original material. Mandolinist Robert Torrence tells us that they spent a solid year writing and arranging the songs, and working up harmony vocals.

In addition to Josh and Robert, Brandon Rowe is on guitar, Morris Herbert on guitar, and Robert McIntosh on bass. Everyone in the band sings, taking turns with lead and harmony vocals.

They are excited for their opportunity to perform during the Wide Open Bluegrass street fair during IBMA week in Raleigh next month. Look for them at the High Lonesome Strings booth on Saturday (9/28) at 9:00 p.m.
