New album coming from Richard Bennett

Event Details

Richard BennettLonesome Day Records has announced that a new recording from guitarist/vocalist Richard Bennett will be forthcoming in 2014. The label had released his Last Train From Poor Valley album during the summer of 2012, a project that had been cut several years earlier.

Tracking for the new record got started last week, with a core band featuring Adam Steffey on mandolin, Ron Stewart on fiddle, and Mark Schatz on bass. Richard is also expecting to cut three songs with Tony Rice.

Material will include several of Bennett’s original songs.

Here a few photos from the first session that Lonesome Day’s Randall Deaton shared.
