Pert Near Sandstone has shared a live video performance for one of tracks on their latest CD, The Hardest Part Of Leaving, released April 15.
It was shot this past weekend at the historic Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN, famous as the home of A Prairie Home Companion, at the band’s official CD release event on April 12. The video captures the grand finale of the show, where many of the album’s guest artists were invited up on stage.
You’ll see Dave Simonett and Ryan Young of Trampled by Turtles, Nicholas David (blues/soul singer who was a finalist on The Voice and has toured with The Avett Brothers), The Wild Goose Chase Cloggers, Steve Kaul of the Brass Kings and more.
The guys in Pert Near Sandstone say that the video captures the collaborative nature of Minnesota’s bluegrass and roots community.
Hardest Part Of Leaving is available now on CD or vinyl from the band’s web site, and by download from popular digital resellers. They have also released this lyric video of the first single, Hellfire.
