New single from The Spinney Brothers

Event Details

Tried & True - The Spinney BrothersGonna Catch A Train is the debut single from The Spinney Brothers‘ upcoming album on Mountain Fever, Tried & True, due in mid-October. It’s a song written by the late Ed Hamilton, who won the 1998 IBMA Song of the Year Award for Lonesome Old House, as recorded by Longview.

Nova Scotia natives Allan and Rick Spinney front one of the few Canadian bluegrass bands to tour extensively in the United States, with a strong following at traditional music festivals across both the US and Canada. Rick is on banjo and Allan guitar, and the two harmonize like only brothers can, with assistance from Gary Dalrymple on mandolin and Terry Poirier on bass.

Ron Stewart added fiddle to the track.

Radio programmers can download the single now from Airplay Direct.
