Westby. The Roys are expecting big things from their upcoming CD, The View, and are laying the groundwork to take advantage of any opportunities that may come their way.

To introduce it to the bluegrass audience, they will perform the full album live on SiriusXM on September 1 with their touring band, before a studio audience. It will be released to the public the following day.

It has also been announced today that the brother/sister duo have signed with Buddy Lee Attractions in Nashville to handle their exclusive representation. The agency has five decades of experience in representing artists and entertainers of every kind, with a specialty in country music. They also manage bookings for bluegrass artist Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome.

Guitarist and vocalist Elaine Roy says that, “We’re very excited. Nobody knows this business better.” Brother Lee, who plays mandolin and sings mentions that, “They’ve broken some of the biggest acts of all time, handled Bill Monroe throughout his career, and continue to represent some of today’s biggest entertainers. We’re thrilled to join their roster.”

The View - The Roys

The new album features a title track written by country icon Bill Anderson, and a guest performance by Doyle Lawson (mandolin and vocal) on a new Bill Monroe tribute, Mandolin Man, written by Lee Roy and Larry Alderman.

Look for more details on The View as the September 2 release date draws closer.
