Matthew Arndt departs Early Edition

Event Details

Kevin Pace and the Early EditionKevin Pace and the Early Edition from Spokane, WA has announced that fiddler Matthew Arndt has left the group. He played his final show with the band on September 27.

Kevin says that Matthew was the youngest member of the group, and had been with him since he launched in 2012.

“I was hoping this day would never come but in reality I knew it would. Matthew is just so young and has many other things before him that he’s interested in and wants to pursue. He was a huge asset to the group.

When I initially talked with him about joining the band I was basing it totally on his fiddle playing. As it turned out he was a great harmony singer as well so he will surely be missed by all the guys and myself. Matthew is a fine young man with a great talent and I appreciate what he brought to this group. I wish him nothing but the best in whatever he pursues in the future.”

Pace is now considering replacements for the fiddle position. Anyone interested is asked to contact Kevin through the band’s web site.
