Cumberland River is back

Event Details

Cumberland RiverCumberland River, the bluegrass bruisers from Harlan, KY, are back with us again after roughly a year off. Following a raucous start in 2011 owing in part to an association with the FX television series, Justified, the band suffered the loss of two founding members and decided this time last year to liquidate the group.

But you can’t keep a good band down. One of those prodigal founders, Joey Jones, is back on bass along with Dustin Middleton on mandolin, and Jamie Stewart on reso-guitar from the 2013 edition of Cumberland River, and newcomers Brandon Elkins on banjo and Jamie Clark on guitar.

We expect an official announcement on Wednesday with more details about their future plans.

Great news for fans of this rough-edged and powerfully authentic band.
