Unexpected encounter of the banjo kind

| March 8, 2012 | 0 Comments

Our intrepid Bluegrass Today IT Director, Eric Tapp, snapped this photo at an Interstate rest area near Savannah, GA. Abigail Washburn is prominently pictured in an advertisement for the Savannah Music Festival which kicks off later this month.

Not sure how Abby feels about being pictured on a rest stop window wrap, but the poster sure gets your attention, and puts our beloved five string literally up in people’s faces!

Here’s another of the several videos Washburn has shared from her most recent trip to China, where she and her tour band get a chance to jam with some Uyghur musicians on Wayfaring Stranger.
