Sunnyflower One – Miss Dixie sings

sunnyflowerYou’re never too old or experienced to have your career take off in a new direction.

Miss Dixie Hall, the renowned and award-winning songwriter in bluegrass music, has recorded her first-ever song as a vocalist, and it’s being released this week. It is a message to her many friends and fans in her bluegrass family.

This development is unfortunately a bittersweet one, as a source close to Tom T. and Dixie Hall has disclosed that Miss Dixie has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, and is suffering from dementia as a result.

In keeping with her characteristic strength of character, she has found a way to make the most of the situation she has found herself in. She is surrounded by family, friends, her loyal staff at Good Home Grown Music, and professional caregivers. Tom T. says,  “she gets up in the morning, gives us our marching orders, turns everything over to God, and is still actively writing new songs and now recording them too.”

Her debut as a recording artist is called Sunnyflower One, a song written by Miss Dixie and produced by Troy Engle. It is available as a free download at www.goodhomegrownmusic.com, available to radio through Airplay Direct, and hard copies are being mailed to radio stations this week.
