Rhonda Vincent & The Rage are set to record another live concert DVD, a decade after her first, Ragin’ Live, was released by Rounder Records in 2015. Filming is set for next Monday and Tuesday at the Bethel Performing Arts Center, located near Bethel University in northwestern Tennessee.
She tells us that there’s no special occasion for this project, other than to capture her talented band – of whom she is mighty proud – at this point in time.
“I feel this is the ultimate version of The Rage to date. We were scheduled to film on 5/7 – 10 at Silver Dollar City, but Josh and I were suffering with allergies, and it had to be postponed. With very few open dates, we were thrilled that the Bethel PAC in McKenzie, TN welcomed us to their venue to film.
The DVD will feature a live concert performance, featuring our most requested and most responsive songs. It’s being designed to highlight the amazing talents of The Rage, who are collectively, the most award winning group in the history of bluegrass music.”
Rhonda invites all her fans to join her and the band for the tapings next week (5/25-26). There is no admission fee, and no tickets, so first-come-first-served for seating. More details can be found by contacting the venue at 615-390-5423.
And she’s right about her band. It is a powerful thing, and counting up the various awards they have won, the list tops 100 in total. Josh Williams is on guitar, Hunter Berry on fiddle, Aaron McDaris on banjo, and Mickey Harris on bass.
