Goodbye Caroline from Monroeville

monroevilleMonroeville has released a new video, taken from a live performance of Goodbye Caroline at Nashville’s Hard Rock Cafe.

The song was co-written by Monroeville guitarist Eli Johnson and Blake Grisham, and the video was shot and edited by Sammy Passamano.

Mandolinist Matt Munsey tells us the track is also available for download purchase at iTunes.

“We hope that our fans enjoy listening to this song as much as we do, and will support us by downloading the tune for only $.99. This will help us offset the production costs for the video.”

Munsey also shared this Monroeville update…

“We spent most of the weekend in the studio. We have been doing this project entirely ‘in house.’ Literally….

I asked my wife (very sweetly) if she could surrender our home for a couple of days at a time over the summer for us to cut our album. Preston Schmidt has been engineering it for us. You can read more information about studio time in my personal letter on our web site.

We are really excited about this project because of the wide range of sounds it will incorporate. It is our first full-legnth album and we all feel like it will be the one to define Monroeville. Most if not all of the material will be originals written by one or more of our band members. Look for a release around Fall.

We are excited to head to Oak Hill, NY this week for two days at Grey Fox. Catch us there on Thursday and Friday. The following week we will fly to Colorado for the Rocky Grass festival to perform on Saturday.

We are fortunate to be on some of the best festivals in the country while less than two years old.”

You can follow Monroeville online, and get the Goodbye Caroline download in iTunes.
