Bubba Chandler – Somebody To Sing To

Event Details

Bubba Chandler, former guitarist and vocalist with Lost and Found, is back at it with a new CD, Somebody To Sing To. It includes 6 of his original songs and a number of remakes of classics he sang with L&F.

He is joined on this new Mountain Fever releases by former bandmates Allen Mills on bass, Gene Parker on banjo and Gene Elders on fiddle. Other guests include Sammy Shelor, Jerry Wimmer, Jimmie and Chris Blankenship, Andrew O’Conner, Mary Prillaman, and Barry Collins.

Chandler had been the first substitution from the founding version of Lost and Found, joining when Roger Handy left the group in the late 1970s. He stayed with them for 4 years, and appeared on shows all over the world and on the popular Lost and Found television program. Bubba told Mountain Fever’s Mark Hodges that the tragic death of original Lost and Found mandolinist Dempsey Young in 2006 had prompted him to return to the music and finish up song song ideas he had been toying with for some time.

Here’s a sample from Somebody To Sing To, a newly recorded version of Last Lonely Eagle, which Lost and Found recorded 28 years ago. It features Bubba singing lead, with the assistance of Mills, Parker and Elders.
