Bluegrass Today at ROMP

ROMPBluegrass Today will have a crew at ROMP this weekend in Owensboro, KY.

They will be conducting interviews, taking pictures, shooting video and generally prowling about the grounds. If you’re doing something there you shouldn’t oughta, be careful – it might end up online.

It looks to be quite a lineup: Vince Gill’s bluegrass show, Punch Brothers, Jesse McReynolds, Lonesome River Band, Bearfoot, Greensky Bluegrass, Town Mountain, Monroeville and more than a dozen others. There will be stage shows and workshops running this next three days at O’boro’s Yellow Creek Park.

This annual event is produced by the International Bluegrass Music Museum, located just a short distance from the festival site. Anyone with a festival wristband can ride a free shuttle back and forth between the museum and the park all weekend if they want to mix in some history with their fun. Or maybe just get out of the sun; temperatures in northwestern Kentucky this weekend are expected well above 100 degrees!

We’ll post photos and videos from the fest throughout the weekend, so please check back for those.

For those planning to be in attendance, keep an ear tuned to the stage for details on how you can win a brand new iPad from Bluegrass Today during the festival!
