Ashes of Love raises $4k for Steve Thomas

collageLast night’s Ashes Of Love benefit concert in Nashville raised roughly $4,000 for Steve Thomas. His home was destroyed by fire on New Year’s Eve, and most of his and his wife Janet’s personal items were lost.

As always, the bluegrass folks rallied round, and organizer Mark Newton tells us that there were at least 200 people out for last night’s show at the Ernest Tubb Troubadour Theater. The weather was quite frightening in and around Nashville last night, with tornados forecast, and high winds all across the area. Surely the turnout would have been even higher with better weather in town.

On the program was just about everyone in bluegrass that lives in Nashville: Claire Lynch, Del McCoury, The Grascals, Ramblin’ Rooks, Marty Raybon, Sierra Hull, Randy Kohrs, Sister Sadie, and more.

Dreama Stephenson with Dream Bee Art Photography was at the show taking photos, and shared the collage above. Thanks Dreama!

If you couldn’t make the show, there are still two ways to pass along a donation. Checks can be sent, payable to Steve Thomas, at:
