Aoife O’Donovan touring with Punch Brothers in 2012
Punch Brothers have announced that their next album is finished, with touring in support slated to begin in February 2012.
What could be bigger news than an upcoming Punch Brothers tour? How about Crooked Still chanteuse Aoife O’Donovan going out performing with them?
The tour officially begins February 23 in Boston, and runs through March 11 in Denver. A complete list of dates can be found on their web site.
Punch banjo man Noam Pikelny is on tour now in support of his superb Compass release, Beat The Devil and Carry A Rail. Aoife is out with Noam as well, along with Gabe Witcher on fiddle, Chris Eldridge on guitar, Jesse Cobb on mandolin and Mark Schatz on bass. Tour dates are listed on Noam’s site.
Punch Brothers will make a trip to Europe in January, with stops scheduled in London, Paris and Amsterdam with Amos Lee.
