Abigail Washburn at the Tiny Desk

Event Details

Abigail Washburn stopped by the NPR Music office recently to shoot a video for the network’s Tiny Desk Concert series, so named for being set behind the desk of Bob Boilen, host of their All Songs Considered program.

She and her talented band performed selections from Abby’s upcoming CD, City Of Refuge, due on January 11. Joining Washburn for this video – and their current eastern US tour – are Rob Hecht on fiddle, Jared Engel on bass, Jamie Dick on drums and Kai Welch on keyboards and trumpet.

After their east coast run in the first half of January, Abby and the boys head for the United Kingdom, where they have shows scheduled in Sheffield, Newcastle, and London and more in addition to a show with Tim O’Brien at Celtic Connections on 1/25.
