Win a free track on New Cuts Of Bluegrass

New Cuts Of Bluegrass and Bluegrass Today are partnering to offer an opportunity for independent bands and artists to get their music out to radio.

New Cuts offers a bluegrass radio service, delivering a CD full of new music to over 450 radio stations across the US and Canada. They have stepped into the void left when the venerable Prime Cuts Of Bluegrass closed up shop last year.

Owner/operator Jimmy Metts tells us that he has been delighted by the response to his new venture from bluegrass radio, and from the labels as well. Their first issue went out in February, with the second scheduled for April. Metts plans on sending a CD out every other month, moving eventually to monthly as demand grows.

To help get the word out about New Cuts, Jimmy is offering a free placement ($500 value) to the best track he gets from an unsigned, or self-produced artist. To enter, all you have to do is send him an email with your best track, and he and a committee of bluegrass aficionados will choose a winner.

Send your track to info@newscutsofbluegrass.com, along with the name of your band and a contact phone number by March 28.

Radio programmers who are not yet receiving New Cuts Of Bluegrass are invited to contact Jimmy and get on his recipient list.
