Mikaya Taylor- Lead Vocal/Mandolin/Guitar

Eleven year old Mikaya Taylor has just recorded her first CD Small Town Big Heart and is very grateful to have had some of the most talented musicians in the business be a part of this
project. Curt Chapman from the super band Flashback played bass, Danny Barnes from Blind Ricky played mandolin, Frank Kemper on Guitar previously with Kentucky Blue, and Kevin
Chilton on Banjo from Kentucky Spirit.

Mikaya has entered the Female Bluegrass Vocalist World with a BANG. She is being called “Kentucky’s Singing Angel” and has quite a following at area Festival’s and on Social Media.

Mikaya lives in a small town called Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. She is in the 6th grade. She has always had a great love for music.

She sang her first song publicly at Woodland Park in 2015 and following her performance she was immediately booked for Festival of the Bluegrass in 2016. Things have exploded for Mikaya Taylor since. She has performed on WoodSongs Old Time Radio Hour with Michael Johnathon, Kentucky State BBQ Festival, Meadowgreen Fall Festival, Natasha’s, Pioneer
Festival, Fox 56 Event at Evans Orchard, Bardstown101 Bluegrass Festival, She is booked at Poppy Mountain, Shriner’s Bluegrass Festival. Mikaya had the pleasure of getting to know the legendary Ruth McLain from the McLain Family Band. Ruth has been one of Mikaya’s biggest supporter’s and influence in the business. She has performed with the Grascals. Mikaya has
been named as one of Tomorrow’s Bluegrass Star’s Kid’s.

She has an awesome band called Raging River which includes Zach Yates on Bass, Jerry Hockensmith on Guitar, Andrew Fore on Banjo and Aaron Fore on Dobro. Mikaya is very excited these talented musicians and vocalist have joined her to help make a name and impression with people in and out of the bluegrass music industry.
