Tyler Collins all healed up

In November 2016 we reported that the boys in the Darrell Webb Band had experienced a serious auto crash in route to a number of performances in Florida. Unfortunately, the accident left reso player Tyler Collins hospitalized in Jacksonville for a few days with back injuries among other ailments.

Today we’re happy to report that he has been cleared by his doctors and is enjoying good health once again. I had the opportunity to catch up with him just yesterday. Tyler had this to say: “I’m excited to finally get back to a normal life again and not have to worry about how much I pick up or worry about sitting a certain way. And it’s great to finally get back to pickin’ and being on the festival circuit again!”

Tyler also conveyed how much he appreciated all those who have reached out to him throughout his recovery. “I’m extremely blessed to have such a loving family and amazing friends to help get me through such a hard time,” he said, “but most importantly my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

Be sure to catch Tyler and the rest of the fellas soon in concert at a venue near you. Make sure to wish Tyler well. He’s a good one! For more information on the Darrell Webb Band visit www.darrellwebbband.com.

GoFundMe page for Darrell Webb Band

A GoFundMe page has been established to benefit the Darrell Webb Band who were in a serious auto accident last week on their way to a number of shows in Florida.

Their travel van was damaged beyond repair, and reso-guitarist Tyler Collins suffered a back injury that required a stay of several days in the hospital in Jacksonville. Fortunately, Tyler is back home recovering now in Johnson City, TN but won’t be able to return to the band for another 3-4 weeks.

The donation page has set a goal of $20,000 to replace the group’s vehicle, and help Tyler cover the medical expenses incurred while in the hospital. GoFundMe allows for donations to be made easily online using PayPal or a major credit card.

You can also help by purchasing their latest album from the band web site. They are also offering a copy of the CD to anyone who makes a donation of $100 or more.

Tyler Collins to Darrell Webb

The Darrell Webb Band has announced the addition of Tyler Collins on reso-guitar.

Tyler is already an experienced bluegrass pro at the age of 25. As a pre-teen, we was playing music with Sierra and Cody Hull, and was filling in with Sierra’s band, Highway 111, before he was old enough to drive. Stints followed with Grand Ole Opry star Jesse McReynolds and Darin & Brooke Aldridge, Jesse Gregory & Faultline, Carrie Hassler and others.

He joins Jared Hensley on guitar, Cody Hill on banjo, Kameron Keller on bass, and Darrell on mandolin in The Darrell Webb Band. They are currently in the studio at Mountain Fever Records working on their next project, to be called Lovers Leap, with the title taken from a new song Darrell wrote with his wife, Amanda.

Collins reports having a blast with his new bandmates.

“I’m loving it! I’ve known Kam and Jared for years. They’re like brothers to me so it’s great to be in a band with them. And Darrell Webb is just a beast. He’s been one of my heroes since I was a little feller so it’s really cool to be pickin with him and the other guys everyday!”

And Darrell returns the favor.

“Words can’t describe how excited I am to have Tyler Collins in joining the DWB. I think we have the strongest band we have ever had. Playing with these guys is such a incredible honor. Welcome aboard! I’m looking forward to bigger and better things down the road for DWB!”

The Darrell Webb Band plays regularly at the Old Smoky Moonshine Distillery in Gatlinburg, TN. You can visit them online for more details on their performance schedule.

Tyler Collins to Darin and Brooke

Darin & Brooke Aldridge have another new face in the band. In addition to Becky Buller, who came aboard recently to play fiddle and share in the vocals, they have announced that Tyler Collins as their new banjo player.

Tyler is 22 yeas old and lives in Johnson City, TN.

He joins Darin on guitar, Brooke on mandolin, and Becky on fiddle, along with Colin Willis on reso-guitar, and Dwayne Anderson on bass.

You can keep up with their tour schedule online.
