Erin and Aaron Youngberg, 3/5 of Colorado’s Finnders & Youngberg, are celebrating the birth of their second daughter, Ophelia Rose, born at home on the evening of February 19.
She came in at 8 lbs, 9 oz and Erin tells us that all is well with baby Ophelia and her older sister, Ramona.
“We’re all doing great, just enjoying our new amazing and beautiful baby girl!”
Aaron plays banjo and a bit of pedal steel with the band, while Erin handles bass and both lead and harmony vocals.
Welcome Ophelia, and congratulations to the growing Youngberg family!
Head For The Hills is an eclectic young string band from Colorado that fuses elements of bluegrass and indie rock into their own brand of original acoustic music. They have been a fixture this past few years on the jam grass scene, and have recently announced the release of their third album, Blue Ruin, on July 9.
Adam Kinghorn is on guitar, Michael Chappell on mandolin, Joe Lessard on fiddle, and Matt Loewen on bass. They are joined on the album by fellow Coloradans Andy Hall on resonator guitar, Aaron Youngberg on banjo and steel, and Erin Youngberg on harmony vocals.
On top of modern string music, the guys are fans of the graphic novel – comic books to you and me – and brought Timothy Doyle on board to create the CD’s stunning cover art.
They’ve also prepared this video to introduce Blue Ruin to the masses.
