Blueways is a new bluegrass group based in Milan, Italy. The quartet is truly international, with two Italians, a Frenchman, and one American in the band. Natalie Shelar, from Tucson, AZ, is on bass along with Milanese mandolinist Massimo Gatti and his son, Icao Gatti, on banjo, and Jeanmarie Peschiutta from the north of France on guitar.
Their repertoire mixes original and traditional music, both vocal and instrumental, from the members’ many years of performing throughout Europe. Jeanmarie and Natalie handle the lead vocals with Massimo helping out with harmonies.
