The tour is being arranged by Swedish grassers G2, who will accompany Kohrs on the road. G2 banjo picker Jens Koch says that the band will be booking the dates themselves.
“It’s limited to May only and we expect to hear from promoters all over Europe when such a first class musician comes this way.”
The shows will feature a set from G2, followed by a set with them serving as Randy’s band, focusing on his material, with Randy serving as lead vocalist. You can contact G2 by email to inquire about booking a date during this tour, or contact Tobias Strömberg by phone [+46(0)702294505].
This tour can only run through May as G2 will be headed to the US in June for a lengthy stay. They will perform at several major festivals including Grass Valley, ROMP and Mohican before returning home after IBMA in October. The US dates are being handled by Roe Entertainment and some open slots are still available.
G2 is in the studio this month finishing up their next CD release, Untapped Routes, which should be available in time for these summer tours. The band is in discussions with a number of US labels about distribution in the States so it should be easy to find when it is released.
Kohrs has audio samples up from Quicksand on his web site as does Rural Rhythm on theirs.
