This won’t be a band project, but more of a songwriter’s album with a dozen new songs which Larry has written or co-written. There is no title set, but Cord sees a unifying concept developing.
“I don’t as yet have a theme for this CD although it could become something akin to ‘Tales From East Kentucky,’ as a lot of the songs on here are truly old Appalachian stories.”
Larry is hoping to see the CD released this summer, and will begin discussions with labels as soon as the project is mixed and mastered. He tells us that only a few more guest spots need to be recorded, and then he can tie things up.
“As it stands right now this is my most favorite album since Murder on Music Row. It is different, but it is me. I’m really proud of it, and the work [producer] Steve Thomas has done bringing the vision I had for this project to life.”
We’ll keep you posted as details are clarified.
