From October 1, 2010 through to the end of September 2011, we will, each day, celebrate the life of Bill Monroe by sharing information about him and those people who are associated with his life and music career. This information will include births and deaths; recording sessions; single, LP and CD release dates; and other interesting tidbits. Richard F. * Bill Monroe – Live in Concert : Lookin’ Back The two shows by Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys at the Bottom Line club in New York City were recorded on December 15, 1983.

“Great mix of songs form Bill’s vast repertoire. Haunting vocals, breakneck-speed instrumentals and beautiful interplay amongst the band.”

The band members were Wayne Lewis [guitar and lead vocal], Randy Davis [bass], Kenny Baker [fiddle] and Butch Robbins [banjo].
