They were delighted to receive more than 80 entries in this first year, all of which were judged by John Starling, Dudley Connell, and Dede Wyland.

The audio entries for the winning tracks are posted on the DCBU site. $500 will be awarded for first prize, $250 for second, and $100 for third. As the top songwriter, Gary Ferguson will also be invited to perform his song during the DC Bluegrass Festival on February 28.
