Serious bluegrass fans (and Bentley lovers) know that Dierks has a long relationship with our music, and even released a bluegrass album, Up On The Ridge, back in 2010. We had a chance to talk bluegrass with him then, and he was clearly well-versed in the topic.
He wasn’t performing in Gatlinburg, just happened to be visiting the distillery, where Ole Smoky makes their legal moonshine, and offers tours of the facility – and you can take some Tennessee-licensed clear home with you.
Betsy White shot this video of Bentley on stage with Firewater Junction, which consists of Matt Flake on fiddle, Chris Wade on banjo, Darrell Webb on mandolin, and Colby Laney on guitar. Matt is also Entertainment Director at Ole Smoky, and keeps bluegrass going at the Distillery all day, every day.
