The album is an interesting mix of musical styles, featuring Adam on mandolin and his wife, Tina, on clawhammer banjo along with a full band on many cuts. What makes the record unique is that it’s not an old time project, or a bluegrass one either. It’s something all its own.
Anyway… in the interview Adam speaks about his relation to the famed Carter Family, and having first encountered traditional music at The Carter Fold as a young boy.
Look for our review of New Primitive shortly.
