Uncut Grass festival to debut in June ’17

uncutThe folks at Wilson Pickins Bluegrass Promotions have teamed up with the Cortland Country Music Park in New York’s Finger Lakes region to launch a new bluegrass festival in the summer of 2017.

The inaugural Uncut Grass Festival will debut June 8-10 with three days of traditional bluegrass and acoustic country music in Cortland, NY. The park is located just off I-81 between Ithaca and Syracuse, an area teeming with bluegrass lovers, as well as summer visitors.

Uncut Grass will feature all the elements of a typical festival, including camping, crafts vendors, food vendors, and of course, jamming. Entertainment will be provided by Edgar Loudermilk, Randall Hibbitts, Branded Bluegrass, Bluegrass Outlaws, Kristi Stanley, Kim Robins, Matthews Family Tradition, and Fiddle De Divas.

Popular radio host Big Al Weekley will serve as MC, and audio will be provided by Trotter Sound Services.

Tickets don’t officially go on sale until December 1, but camping reservations are being accepted now.
