The Lewis Family is Flyin’ High

Perennial bluegrass Gospel favorites, The Lewis Family, have released their latest recording, Flyin’ High. Audio samples are available and online ordering is enabled from the Lewis Family web site.

The site also mentions that Miggie Lewis is scheduled for knee replacement surgery tomorrow (May 23), and asks her many friends to remember her in their prayers.

New Lewis Family CD in May

The next release from bluegrass gospel heavyweights, The Lewis Family, is expected to be delivered in time for their annual festival, held the first weekend in May. The CD, Flying High, will also be the subject of an upcoming edition of CMT’s Insider program. No broadcast date has been announced at this time.

The 19th Annual Lewis Family Homecoming and Bluegrass Festival will be held May 4-6 at Elijah Clark State Park in Lincolnton, GA.

Wallace Lewis home from 3 week hospital stay

Wallace Lewis, one of the founding members of The Lewis Family, is back home after being hospitalized since the last week of January. He went in as a result of high fever and kidney problems, and was diagnosed with pneumonia and a urinary tract infection. Wallace is back home as of February 15, and all of the entire family wish thank their many fans and friends for the prayers, kind thoughts and messages of good will they have received.
