Mike Compton

‰ÛÏA certified mandolin icon‰Û (Mandolin Magazine), ‰ÛÏA new bluegrass instrumental hero‰Û (New York Times), Grammy Award winning instrumentalist Mike Compton, perhaps best known as the featured mandolin player on ‰ÛÏOh, Brother Where Art Thou‰Û, is one of the modern masters of bluegrass mandolin (Sam Bush says ‰ÛÏnobody plays Monroe better than Compton‰Û) and one of the most recognizable and respected mandolin voices in the world today. A founding member of the Nashville Bluegrass Band, a sideman with John Hartford Stringband, a studio-recording artist on over 110 albums, a Grammy & IBMA award winning musician, Compton is as passionate and advocate for the mandolin as you‰Ûªre ever likely to find.
