TILLYfest – BLUEGRASS WOODLAND celebrates the life and times of Yolo County’s Holstein Queen and internationally renowned milk producer – Champion Tilly Alcartra, 1908-1924. Her reputation was unsurpassed, setting world records from 1914-1920.
The FREE festival will feature bluegrass music and other forms of American roots music at various locations… along with historical exhibits, food, beverages, vendors, farmers market, games and other activities for the whole family.
The fundraiser will help establish a downtown history museum. A breakfast presentation by author Lynne Gough (Asa and the Holstein Queen) is planned for 9 am, November 5, at Blue Note Brewing to kick off the day.
