Susquehanna Folk Festival

The second annual Susquehanna Folk Festival is scheduled for July 26-28, 2019 at beautiful Roundtop Mountain Resort in Lewisberry, PA! Running Friday through Sunday, the weekend will be jam-packed with renowned folk performers as well as regional and local musicians. It’s a super-family-friendly festival, with concerts, dancing, workshops, jamming, an artisan marketplace, tasty food, and lots of hands-on activities.

A bluegrass jam will be held from 11:45 AM to 1:30 PM on Sunday at the festival.

REGIONAL FAVORITES Emerging Artist Showcase featuring up-and-coming performers (applications are invited!), Neidig, Koretzky, Gehret & Campbell, Bluestone, Irish Blessing, Michael Arthur, Shane Speal and the Snakes, Justin Angelo Band, Debbi Kauffmann
DANCING: Dance the weekend away with opportunities do swing, blues, contra, Cajun, swing and International Dancing! Dance to live music provided by The Faux Paws, The Stringrays, Hot Club of Cowtown, and BeauSoleil.
OUR FIRST LIARS CONTEST Famed storyteller Bil Lepp, five-time champion of the West Virginia Liars Contest, is emceeing our first Liars Contest. If you’re a notable liar, we invite you to apply!
FAMILY FUN: We’ll have lots of activities for little folkies and their families. Crafts for Families with York County Libraries, Storytelling Workshops with Bil Lepp, Sing Along with KLMN-tine, Spiral Q Puppet Theater – larger-than-life puppets and a Puppet Parade, The Give and Take Jugglers – Little Circus, juggling lessons, and a Balance Playground
FESTIVAL MARKETPLACE Our festival marketplace features regional artisans and crafters who make what they sell; who love sharing their passion with shoppers, and who, if practical, will actually make and demonstrate their work during the festival.
WORKSHOPS: Some of the festival workshops are informative, and some are hands-on. Bring instruments if you intend to participate in the guitar, tin whistle, ukulele, or fiddle workshops, or the Irish Seisiun! Harmony & Shapenote singing workshops too!
JAMS: Bring an instrument and get ready for some great jamming! An instrument check is available.
