This class is for intermediates. A class for beginners will meet Noon-3pm on the same days. Take both classes for only $145 additional!

Returning students pay only $145!

Intermediate jam class requirements: Some previous basic jamming experience including

Basic understanding of jam interaction (when to start, solo, end)
Ability to follow chord changes (even on new songs)
Some experience with taking a solo
Basic Jam etiquette

All bluegrass instruments welcome
No jamming experience necessary
You will be jamming the first class!
Friendly, encouraging, knowledgeable teaching.
Mistakes allowed!
Singing not required, but encouraged and taught.
Easy 2- and 3-chord songs, slow speeds.
Soloing not required! “Faking” solos taught.

Do you qualify? It’s easier than you may think!
If you play guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass, or dobro… you can be part of a bluegrass jam.

Only requirements:
You must be able to tune your instrument (electronic tuning devices welcome) and change smoothly between G, C, D, and A. (Fiddles and basses need to know which notes work with which chords)

Jeremy Chapman started playing mandolin at age 10 with his brothers and father in The Chapmans. Winners of IBMA’s Emerging Artist of the Year, the band has performed throughout the U.S., in Europe, and on the Grand Ole Opry. When not on the road, Jeremy enjoys teaching private lessons in Springfield, MO and interviewing bluegrass celebrities on Internet TV.
