Riley Baugus

Riley Baugus is coming to the Blue Ridge Music Center on Saturday October 6 at 5 p.m.! This is an indoor show, so space is limited.

Hailed as one of the bearers of traditional Southern mountain music, Riley Baugus is helping to forge American roots music into the next generation whether he is building banjos, playing in the studio, or out on tour. His handcrafted Civil War-era banjos and voice were featured on the Cold Mountain soundtrack. He joined Willie Nelson for his Country Music album and tour. And headed to the studio to play on Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’ Grammy-winning album, Raising Sand. When not teaching or building banjos, Riley can be found on the road with the Dirk Powell Band and Kirk Sutphin. He is also a frequent guest of Polecat Creek and Tim O’Brien.
