im Talbert has been playing bluegrass music for over 30 years, performing regularly as a multi-instrumentalist with several bluegrass bands including Borderline Bluegrass and Hickory Hill Gospel Bluegrass. Jim has a BA in Music Education and created the Join the Jam program at his hometown public library, helping beginner and intermediate students gain the knowledge and confidence to play with other musicians in a jam. As a certified Wernick Method Instructor, Jim will be working the time-tested Wernick system, teaching jam skills and guiding jammers playing bluegrass in small groups.
