For 2024, thirteen bands create a stellar lineup, including award winning headliners Becky Buller Band, Missy Raines & Allegheny, Frank Sollivan & Dirty Kitchen, Slocan Ramblers, Stillhouse Junkies, Bonnie & Taylor Sims Trio, The Fretliners, The Solar Sisters, The Cody Sisters, Martin Gilmore Trio, Orchard Creek, Tenderfoot, and UNCO Bluegrass Ensemble. Bands play multiple sets over the three-day weekend. Workshops offered will include banjo, guitar, mandolin, and beginner jam.
This long standing, intimate and unique bluegrass festival has been a mainstay of the Colorado bluegrass scene since 1986. Considered by many to be a “pickers’ festival,” Midwinter draws nationally renowned bands who after their sets are often found among the pickin’ circles scattered throughout the atrium and lobby. Along with the national headliners and many greats of Bluegrass who perform, this festival draws close to 2,000 people yearly.
