Bruce Gair lives in Haymarket, VA, and has picked 5-string Bluegrass banjo for over 40 years, starting while stationed in South America with the foreign service. Upon his return to the US, he took up teaching kids banjo for free. A retired trial lawyer, he has taught for the Fairfax County Recreation Dep’t, at music stores and now privately. He has conducted Bluegrass workshops at his home and at music stores in Virginia. Still working to hone Bluegrass skills, Bruce presently studies with bluegrass great David McLaughlin.
