With over 120 classes to choose from and instruction on the Mandolin, Fiddle, Banjo, Upright Bass, Guitar, and Vocal Harmony Singing, the 2019 Monroe Mandolin Camp will be held September 18-22, at the DuBose Conference Center, in Monteagle, TN, 80 miles outside of Nashville. It is an immersive original bluegrass experience, with Bill Monroe’s history explored alongside the music, and all sorts of daily activities on site like morning and evening yoga, pool and gym, a luthier on-site repair shop for your instrument needs, and special presentations. There are daily organized instructor led jams in addition to a new “Master Class: Band Dynamics”. Instructors include: Mike Compton, David Davis, Charlie Cushman, Tammy Rogers King, Todd Phillips, Caleb Klauder, Richie Brown, Mark Royal, John Keith and luthiers Randy Wood, Paul Duff, and Will Kimble. Special fireside coffee chats will be led by Raymond Huffmaster, a friend and BG Boy with stories to light your imagination. On-site lodging and hot catered meals available as well.
