Tony Trischka at Berklee

Tony Trischka was last week’s special Master Class presenter at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. As we reported this Spring, a major anonymous donor has made it possible for Berklee to bring in top professional banjoists each semester for the benefit of the school’s growing population of enrolled banjo students.

Berklee professor and banjo instructor Dave Hollender sent along some photos from Tony’s visit last Friday and Saturday, which came with an added bonus.

“His most illustrious student ever happened to be in town with his own band Friday, so Tony invited him to join in for the banjo clinic this afternoon.”

A nice treat for the students. Sometimes you get the worm…
