You Can Count On Gracie

You Can Count On GracieJoan Harrison has been the banjo picker and lead singer with New York’s Too Blue this past 15 years. She has also written material for the band, some of it included on their 2011 CD, Trouble With The Grey.

When not playing the five, Joan works as a freelance photographer, with a special flair for pet portraits.

This year she has combined her passion for photography with her love for dogs, and published a new children’s book, You Can Count On Gracie. Designed to help youngsters learn to count, each page features a colorful and cleverly-staged photo of Gracie, Joan’s picturesque golden retriever, with easily-identifiable objects for the young readers to find.

Joan Harrison and GracieGracie proves herself to be a most patient and pliable model, as Harrison poses her in a variety of settings, including a table with 7 hot dogs – tough for even the best-behaved dog to resist! The photography is quite striking, and Miss Gracie exudes an approachable personality that kids will love.

The 28 page book is available from Little Minute Publishing for $15.95 in hard cover.
