Toy Hearts to Texas in 2013

The Toy Hearts, Britain’s fast-rising bluegrass and swing ensemble, has announced plans to spend six months in the United States in 2013.

From May through October next year, the picking and singing Johnson family will relocate to Austin, Texas to ply their trade. They are currently booking festival and club shows for the summer after being approved for year-long visas.

Hannah Johnson, who plays mandolin in the group along with her sister Sophia on guitar and their dad, Stewart, on reso-guitar, tells us that they have some exciting opportunities to consider while they are here. The three of them are stoked about next year, and are looking very much forward to spening some more time in the US.

They will pick up some side musicians on this side of the ocean. Look for more details about shows for the Summer on their web site soon.
