The 2016 Musicians Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) festival is taking place this week at the Hoover Y Park in Columbus, OH. Darrel and Phyllis Adkins’ annual event is held in memory of their daughter, Mandy Adkins, who passed away from an inoperable brain tumor in 2000. All of the proceeds generated from the MACC benefit St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Thursday’s lineup featured great bluegrass music from Hammertowne, The Baker Family, The Kenny & Amanda Smith Band, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, Sideline, Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Tim O’ Brien & Friends (Noam Pikelny, Shad Cobb, Mike Bub, David Grier, and Jen Fabricius), and Larry Sparks & The Lonesome Ramblers.
