Terry McGill to Avery County

Event Details

Travers Chandler & Avery County have announced that Terry McGill is now working with them on banjo. He has actually been with them for about a month, and will be joining the band in the studio as they set out to record their third band project.

McGill hails from the bluegrass hub of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ and has a long history in bluegrass, both as a performer and radio host. He also has an instructional manual, Alternate Tunings for Five-string Banjo, available from Mel Bay Publications.

Chandler is pleased to have Terry join the group, and finds his style perfectly suited to Avery County’s hard-edged, traditional bluegrass sound.

You can find their complete tour schedule online.
